Advantage
3:
Overflow
protection
- Overfilled
batteries can cause acid to leak out of the battery during the charging
process.
- The expanded
acid is allowed to flow into into the Dissipater until it cools and
flows back into the battery. This keeps the acid level strong and prevents
early corrosion of the battery case.
- Each time acid
loss happens, 3-5% of the capacity is lost unless the the acid is re-balanced
which is costly and time consuming.
 |
 |
| An
overfilled cell may seem fine when it is cool. |
During
the charge cycle, the cells get hot and expansion occurs. The Dissipater
will holds the overflow until the battery cools, releasing it back
to the cell maintaining consistent acid densities. |
 |
Corroded
Battery
This battery
has experienced a loss of acid due to overfilling of the cells.
This creates a loss of battery capacity and also causes corrosion
of the battery case.
|
- Acid
spills corrodes the battery case and lift truck parts. Cleaning up a
spill requires that it be naturalized and disposed of in accordance
to local regulation.
- The Dissipater
keeps your batteries clean and dry allowing them to last longer with
less chemical shorts.
